Article Snippet: Here, we report a highly efficient one-pot two-enzyme approach for the synthesis of diverse b1–3-linked galactosides, including T-antigens, GNB, LNB, and their derivatives using a novel D-galactosyl-b1–3-N-acetyl-D-hexosamine phosphorylase cloned from Bifidobacterium infantis (BiGalHexNAcP) and a recombinant galactokinase (GalK) cloned from E. coli K-12.12 To obtain BiGalHexNAcP, Blon_2174 gene (GenBank NC_011593) was amplified from the genomic DNA of Bifidobacterium longum subsp. infantis ATCC 1569713 by polymerase chain reaction and cloned into pET15b vector.
