Beta-taxilin promotes nerve regeneration and may be involved in intracellular vesicle transport. Expressed predominantly in cardiac and skeletal muscle, beta-taxilin binds to the coiled coil region of the syntaxin family members STX1A, STX3A, and STX4A.
