World Renowned AI Expert Prof Alon Halevy Joins the Bioz Advisory Board 

 

LOS ALTOS, Calif. - Jan. 24, 2019 (10:00 pm PT) - Bioz Inc., a company that has developed the world’s first and most comprehensive A.I. search engine for scientific experimentation, today announced an expansion of its Advisory Board, with the addition of Prof. Alon Halevy, a world-leading expert in A.I., Machine Learning (ML) and Natural Language Processing (NLP). Prof. Halevy, recipient of the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers, is one of the most highly-recognized experts in the field of Data Management Systems, with deep expertise in Machine Learning, Named-Entity Recognition (NER), Entity Matching (EM) and Entity Linking (EL).

 

Prof. Halevy spent 10 years at Google, leading Google Research’s Structured Data Group. Before joining Google, he was a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Washington in Seattle. Alon founded and sold 2 startup companies, Nimble Technology, a leader in enterprise IT, which was acquired by Actuate/Open Text Corp (NASDAQ:OTEX), and, Transformic, a leader in deep web technology, acquired by Google (NASDAQ:GOOG). Alon holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Stanford University.
