Bioz, Inc.'s Dr. Karin Lachmi Receives C-Suite of the Year Award from The Silicon Valley Business Journal
Co-founder and chief scientific officer recognized for profound impact on the company and region
LOS ALTOS, Calif. - December 1, 2017 - Bioz, Inc., developers of the world's first search engine for scientific experimentation, today announced that its co-founder and chief scientific officer, Dr. Karin Lachmi, has been awarded the C-Suite of the Year Award by the Silicon Valley Business Journal. The C-Suite of the Year Awards honor the region's top C-suite executives who have demonstrated strong leadership for their company and the surrounding community.

In September, Dr. Lachmi was recognized by the Silicon Valley Business Journal and the San Francisco Business Times as one of their Upstart 50 award winners in the "Inventor" category. In March, Dr. Lachmi was named to the Silicon Valley Business Journal's Women of Influence 2017 List and in November 2016, Dr. Lachmi was announced as a Silver award winner for the 13th Annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business.
This accolade continues Bioz's notable company momentum over the past year. Shortly following its one million global user milestone in August, Bioz announced a new algorithm to its suite of objective star ratings for life science tools in September. In November, the company also expanded its executive team by bringing on Sarah Steele Chang as vice president of sales. Sarah joined the company from Yelp where she most recently served as a regional vice president and led the team that secured $150 million in annual revenue.
